Has anyone ever bought or used TreadWright tires?

I need a new set of tires on the CJ, and I'm putting some serious thought into buying a set. Anyone have any opinions on them?

How do you know how many ply the sidewalls are? I didnt see that in the "about" area.

It's going to depend on what the original tire or "casing" was.

I imagine that you wont get that info ahead of time. Thatd be my only concern , but if your not into much rockcrawling and such it shouldnt matter. Is this the place that was in the back of Jp a few times? If so they had alot of positive feedback. Not much of a selection size wise though.

I have ran retread tires before. The only concern I have is tire separation.
The ones that I ran was about 6 years ago and I had issues when it came to highway driving I had one separate on the front end and it was really interesting getting it pulled over.

You also have to watch the laws some states it is illegal to run retreads on the front of a vehicle.

EB I have no idea how much or what kind of off roading you do, but I would want to know what casing I was getting.
IMO I still prefer to buy new so I know what I'm getting.

I've done some research on them. I found a few msg. boards with threads on this and I can't remember any negative experiences.

As for the casing people said that when they called to order their tires the rep told them what casings were available and if they wanted matching casings.

I will most likely be buying a set for the CJ5 when we need 'em.

I have them on my WJ which I DD. They have been awesome. I got 31s in the MTR tread pattern. Have about 10K on them and they are showing no signs of wear. And they come with 24K warranty.

Only thing that is kind of weird is I have a BFG AT side wall. So people constantly ask me what kind of tires they are, I just say they are a BFG hybrid I am testing for them. :chug: Here is what they look like.

They look pretty good might not be bad for DD and mild wheeling.
You can also look for a used set of tires, maybe even on wheels, to save a few bucks.
