OK just got my tuff country " E-Z RIDE????" lift kit today. Am I the only sucker that has 1 of these?? I don't see anything E-Z ride about it!!!! 3 leafs, and the springs are hardly tapered!!! Im not anxious to install it. Ive always run skyjacker, and was pretty satisfied with the ride, but this kit looks like a kidney buster!!!! I know, I know, ya get what ya pay for!!!

I always wondered that too. I've seen very few ads for Tuff Country and I've never heard of anyone ever running them before. My uneducated opinion is that they are a step below Rough Country.

Haha!!!! I really didn't think that was possible!! lol Did a RC lift on my kids j truck a few years back rides like sh**, but load it up and its caddy smooth. I just cant believe they advertise this as ez ride!!!! 4WD has this kit for $800 delivered at least I only paid $424 including shocks, so I can laff about it. i'll let ya no how it turns out.

It cant ride any rougher than my CJ5 with 4in ProComp lift

Stand on one - and see how far it deflects. Repeat w/ one of your current springs. You'll know what you are dealing with then.

:)Not sure what you folks are looking for.............the only way you get lift is if you re-arc the springs to hold the weight of the vehicle up at a higher position....... Stiffer springs and more lift = rough ride......No rocket science here........looking for a softer ride forget the lift, they do not go hand in hand.

Go to a longer & wider spring with less leave's and both can be accomplished. One last thing, is that most Jeeper's think they need the most aggressive shocks made..........OK if your desert racing at high speed but for some low speed on or off road use that only adds to the terrible ride.

:D:D:D:D

I get it Tarry. I think the biggest problem I have is that this kit is advertised as eaz ride, which I ASSUMED meant softer than stock. The rear spring pack consists of 3 leafs, that are about the same thickness as my 3500 gmc!!!!.

I always thought more leafs, tapered ends, gave a great ride, and this was the better riding kit, they also offer a stiffer kit for towing:confused:!!!! The skyjacker kits I've used always had multiple thin tapered leaves and and gave a better ride than stock, and I always run the cheap hydro shocks, that I agree with, cause Im not running hard off road.

The bright side is I can't see this kit sagging any time soon:chug:

When they say EZ-Ride, they mean compared to just solidly mounting your axle to the frame. :chug:

They ride rough but supposedly hold up pretty well too. You could probably do worse so I wouldn't worry about it too much if you are stuck with them.
