1980 CJ7. Iron Duke 4cyl., SR4, Dana300, Dana 30 with aussie locker, AMC 20 with detroit locker and 4.88 gearing, welded and trussed axle housing, one piece axles. 33x12.5 tires
My CJ7 came with a grant aftermarket steering wheel. I replaced it with a reproduction original. The wheel works ok but I somehow messed up the wiring, most likely the hazard switch.

All my lights worked before pulling the old steering wheel.
Now my blinker switch does nothing. The hazard switch does nothing. When I hit the brake lights the blinker indicators on the speedometer both light up as do the side lights on the front fender in conjunction with the brake lights

I think I somehow messed up the hazard switch. Any thoughts or ideas where to start to fix this?

Have you taken it back apart to see if you crushed any wires? When I took mine apart to replace the turn signal switch, i noticed that the band of wires got crunched and a couple made contact with a piece of metal. I was having a similar situation with the lights afterward. Make sure that the wires are all still insulated and not bound up by anything.

^thanks. I'll dig into it today.

CK your fuses.
ANYTIME you work near your Jeeps electrical. Disco the battery POS(+)connector.

Fixed. Checked fuses but all were good. I really thought that was it because I didn't disco the battery when I replaced the steering wheel but they all checked out good but thanks for the tip . I bought and learned to use a fuse tester so that was a good thing

Pulled the wheel again and after buying a lock plate remover I was able to get into the blinker switch. Cleaned those up with electrical cleaner and some die electric grease.
The hazard switch was jammed into the switch and wasn't moving. After freeing that up and adding some grease the blinkers work and aren't activating when the brake pedal is depressed.
Thanks all!!

Good deal. :notworthy:
You should run a dedicated GND from the dash panel to the battery NEG(-). ;)
