U joint Recomendations for 79 CJ5 mild lift, from what I can tell looks like a 1 inch body lift but the angle of the rear dif is pretty redical! Should I just go to the local parts store or are there any better products out there you would recomend? The angle of the rear dif looks to be twisted up quite abit! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Brett, and to you all :notworthy: Thanks for the info that I have gotten from all your posts!

pics would help

many times the diff is clocked to prevent driveline vibration with a lift. but then CV joints are used at one end. U joint angle should not exceed 15 degrees and be the same on both ends if 2 u joints are used, one on each end.
Here is some reading to do

Excellent info! :notworthy:

After reviewing the links, (Thanks for the info), angle seems fine, shims are in all is well (Thanks for the info) and was wondering if there are better replacement joints than stock. It is scheduled for a trip to the doctor on monday and I will see if they have any suggestions.

Check out Tom Woods CV drive shafts. Great to work with. 5" of lift and I was spitting out U-joints every 1000 miles. I matched the angles and still problems. CV shaft and point the pinion at the T-case output. No vibration.

What took me so long to put in a CV???
