upper ball joints

The upper ball joints I recently bought came with a zerk fiiting and a plug. This has me thinking maybe its not possible to lube the upper ball joints with everything in pace.. ? Anyone know?

You are correct. You can grease it during assembly (as if it needs it then). Then put in the plug. Later if you have to work on the axle you can put in the zerk fitting and grease it again. In other words the zerk fitting is almost useless.

Just curious, what does the plug look like? Is it a rubber pop-in style or a tiny hex bolt?
