hey guys had a quick questions. looking at a glass tub that looks to be in good shape.
how do they hold up offroad? What would be a decent price for a used tub? And is it good to mount steel nose parts to a glass tub?
thanks

no takers huh? Also confused on roll bar/saftey

I have a glass tub on my 8. It doesn't dent when you hit stuff. It cracks. Although the sides have a little flex and can be pushed in a bit and bounce back. Bit I have cracks on the corners of my fenders. Also, the body flexes some.

I may not have answers for you on roll bar safety, but what are your questions? I will say that my stock roll bar is tied into my frame with bars with plates that bolt to the roll bar feet and sandwich the glass tub.

well looks like he may have sold it on me:mad: but yeah was curious if tie in was needed but as i read its deff more support/safe so just gonna tie em in. i do want it to be as safe as possible...hope i luck out. if he fails to sell it.

A friend of mine did a metal to fiberglass body switch. The main thing that used to tick him off was all of the little dimensional changes. With the fiberglass being thicker, that throws off all of the measurements and distances, therefore slightly moving anything that mounts to the body. It wasn’t a big deal for him, but he just had to consider everything when it came to putting it back together.

well he sold it:mad: oh well keep searching
