Hey everybody,
I'm just looking for some info. I recently bought a 1969 Dauntless Buick 225 V6 225 v6 that I want to put in my 1952 M38A1. T90a and Spicer 18 . I need to find a bellhousing and a 50lb pressure plate . I'm having trouble locating one ,,, short of buying ANOTHER jeep , does any one have one ,or know where I might find one ?? I appreciate any help .

have yo done an internet search for a Jeep Wrecking Yard?
you can use about any Dauntless Buick 225 V6 bell housing, and a lot of Buick V8 bell housings as that is a 305 minus 2 cylinders
however, you have to find a ODD FIRE flywheel, they are balanced differently, and may need to have it ballanced once on.

Ok ,, maybe I'm lookin at this the wrong way . I thought I had to find a bellhousing that bolted directly from the v6 to the T-90 ,, but I'll probably need an adapter for that right ? After researching it a little more ,, I think the T-86 was the only tranny that bolted up without an adapter . Is that right ?

you really do not want a T-86 , they are a ticking time bomb
I replaced my T-86 with a T-14 , A T-14 will not fit the D18 tcase you have, yours has a different input gear and a smaller hole.
The T-90 will work, Your best bet is to call a Jeep wrecking yard in your area and talk to them.
here is one out west here J&W Auto Wreckers: New & Used Jeep Parts
they have all the parts you are looking for.

Ok , thats good, I didn't want to replace the Tcase , When you say the T-90 , will work , do you mean with an adapter ? or direct boltup ? While I'm waiting ,, I'll go check out J&W auto wreckers ,, Thanks
