Hey all,
Rumor is there are some you can slide over the springs making installation easier. Anyone had any experience using them or know where they can be found? 1980 CJ7 with AMC 304

Thanks
Paul

I have never seen or heard of seals that go over the spring. But with the right tools you can change your valve stem seals with out pulling the heads.

:)None that I know of that slides over a spring? How would you get to the valve stem with the spring in place?
Most require having tools to first blow air pressure into a cylinder with both valves closed, then having a spring compression tool to compress the spring to pull the valve keepers and remove the spring. Once the spring is off exposing the valve stem there are several types of seals that slide over the valve stem and attache to the valve guide via another tool that sets the seal on to the guide. Sounds like a lot of work but it really is not with the proper tools. Perfect Circle made similar ones for years..........but some do require machining of the guide.
