very frustrating....

So I bought me another cj,its an ,85 CJ7 with the AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l ,in the first couple of weeks,i have installed,a new fuel pump,and filter,did an oil change,new plugs ,coil,and ign module, runs great a few days then bam....dies while running,sometimes i can pop the clutch in gear and she will take off again,most of the time i have to stop and get it started from scratch,I was going to do a new tank sending unit this weekend since the gauge reads 1/4 most of the time...and since she sat for two years,it was getting a tank cleaning as well...i am getting gas but i feel the spark is not there.... what am i missing???

Obviously the fuel coming from the tank is a concern as it sat for two years but first I think you need to know if you are getting spark. If not work it back from there. Try this: http://www.junkyardgenius.com/ignition/jeep/jeep01.html
