Engine Weber 32/36 install.

So with my present carb issues I’d like to take my Weber 32/36 carb from my six cylinder and mount it onto my four cylinder. I thought this would be a simple transfer minus the proper adapter. I called a company and the company told me that the carb would be too much from the six to the four cylinder. Stating jets and such wouldn’t be correct. What is everyone’s thoughts?
