While tuning my carb I had the filter off and started the jeep cold on several occasions. Each time a good amount of water would come out of the valve cover hose that comes from the rear of the valve cover (not the PCV) and just build up water in the bottom plate that holds the air filter. The hose in question is highlighted in the picture below. Today, before starting it, I disconnected the hose and poured it out and there had to be 2 tablespoons of water sitting in there! The first thing I can do is make the hose as short as possible, but even if I made it short and a straight line to the carb, wouldn't all that water just be pouring back into the engine? Is there supposed to be another PCV valve on the back of the engine as well or is the feed going back into the carb just straight? Maybe I'm worrying too much it just seems like a lot of water...
