Hey thanks so much! I'm a soon to be retired mailman and I'm restoring an old DJ5 to look just like the mail jeeps we remember. I'll post some pics later today and start an intro thread. Appreciate it!

Here it was during the tear apart and restore:

And here's a close to done shot. I finished the body, just need to get correct wheels and steels. It's been a real learning experience let me tell you. I know NOTHING about body work, painting, welding, fabricating, mechanic work but I've managed to (poorly) work it all out and get this done. It's nowhere near perfect, it's not even close to good, but it's mine and I did it all so that's enough for me.

BTW, I'm an active duty city carrier and my postmaster is aware that I'm badging this jeep with the old USPS emblem. I understand if people get a little weird about it but I can promise you that this girl is 100% going to deliver mail again on my route.

Wow! That is so cool and functional.
I still get mail delivered via a mail box. No bulk systems as I had @ my old condo...
