Thanks for the welcome! I have been watching this forum for awhile and like most Jeep sites, folks here seem to know their stuff and are quite willing to share. I hope to be able to be one who gives back.

I seem to have started my Jeep "career" a little later than most and certainly in a "backwards" fashion. I bought my first jeep in 2012 - a new 13 JKUR! Plans were to use it mildly, graded forest roads, desert mine access etc. Well, with all of 560miles on it, I ended up doing an "Easy Run" with some folks I met on Wrangler Forums in the SO Cal area. This Easy run (Cleghorn for you CA folks) ended up flattening the last foot of the stock tailpipe and scraping the S out of the undercarriage. Well, y'all know the smiles a good solid 7 rated trail brings to the soul - we were hooked..Done a lot to and with that JKUR since, and even a pair of TJ's - but that's not why I'm here.

About a year or so ago, a friend had to make a quick move to Texas from here in AZ due to family reasons. He had stored in his yard a (mostly) disassembled 78 CJ7 for over 15yrs - always planning to restore it! No doubt he could as he builds race cars, but his life was too busy. SO, when he had to pack it all up he had no room for the CJ. He gifted the project to me!

I will start a build thread soon, so please follow and add whatever you think helpful as this project literally came in 5 boxes! I know lots of things are missing and figuring out what bolt does or doesn't belong is going to be a challenge.
