Were to buy tires on the net

I need to buy tires for my 7 and up were I live we have 2 tire stores and they want a lot of money for tires. One place wont even look for 32in they told me that it is not worth it for them to bring them in. I need some sites on the net to find tires. Small town on a island in SE Alaska.

Out of curiosity I just checked tirereack.com on shipping a 33x12.5x15 to your zip... 63.32 per tire! I'm sure the majority of tire dealers would be the same. All they have to do is put a label on them and send them. It's not like they need to box them up or anything.

I always find the best dealls at Home Page @ NTW I have no Idea about shipping though. You could just put them in your shopping cart to see what shipping would be. Although if you can wait a lot of times they will have free shipping on certain brands.

Im pretty sure the free shipping specials are only for the lower 48. I agree with Ntw though.

It was buy 3 get 1 free and still cost me 1200.00
Since they charged 85.00 a tire to deliver

It was still cheaper than buying locally

See if you can get a deal on shipping or get them put on the barge in seatle If you are ordering a few sets im sure they can work with you


Shippping in the lower 48 is 69.95 a set = We are getting screwed

My brother in law buys off Tire Rack, and swears by them about the price
However
he pays shipping and then has to bring them somewhere to get mounted, costing time and money, and has warranty service through the internet, not a local company.
I can not deal with that hassle or the warranty issues.
I go to Americas tire stores.
Why? well they have a lot of locations all over the place, have a great road hazard warranty, which every store will honor. and I do not have to load up a bunch of tires deleverd to my house into a small vehicle (cj) and bring them to a store to have them mounted, balanced and drive off with out a road hazard warranty.
Now about that warranty, I would hate to bust a sidewall on trail and know the only way to get my tire warrantied was to ship it to a internet company.
I also have a free rotation and rebalanced through Americas tire store.
SO my advice would be to buy locally, and not have to deal with paying for everything extra in the long run.

Most tire warranties don't cover trail damage. That's why they call them "Road Hazard" warranties. I can't speak for all of them, but if you read the fine print. Most of them say that.

I will agree with that, but also it depends on your relationship with the shop,
I run 3 jeeps and 2 DDs, I know I am jeep poor. They know they get my business because I want service. I replace the tires on my main trail jeep every 2 seasons, and when taken off they have around 10,000 miles but are beat to . My wife, whom I love dearly, gets new tires every 3 years and we usually buy tires within 1 month of getting her a new car, with rims. So they know I do a lot of business there and will return.
Problem with most guys claiming warranty is they buy from the cheapest place possible and then take them back to their local dealer. Not a good idea as he knows he is getting the hind end of the business. Building a good working relationship with a business gets you the respect and extra mile service you can receive. It may not be cheaper up front, but in the long run when you figure in all variables, it is way cheaper.

www.tiremonkey.com Very cool. The customer buys from tiremonkey then we ship the tires out of our warehouse then the customer shows up at a local shop picked by the customer and the price is set already for install. then they pay the installer. thats it. Just thought I would share that.
