Good evening to all,
I know this question has been beat to death many times over. I have read many posts about it. However sometimes over time peoples opinion changes whether it’s for the good or bad. So here is my question. What suspension do you run on your jeep? Do you like it? If yes why, and if not, Why not? If you had to do it over again what would you do? Thanks for your time and help.

I'm happy with the stock-height, heavy-duty leaf springs in my CJ5 . I don't need more for what I use the Jeep for (mild-to-moderate forest trails and paved roads mostly). I really like tinkering with my Jeep, but I'm not looking to build an off-road monster...nor impress anyone at Home Depot (I don't go to the mall) with how big my lift is. I can do 70MPH on the highway and take a corner at a decent speed. I can get into the CJ5 (31" tires) without a step.

The potential domino effect of problems that come from changing the suspension aren't worth it to me. I'm not trying to push it to the limit, I'm trying to get from point A to point B and have fun along the way.

Now when the time comes that my springs NEED replacing, I may consider a mild 2.5" lift (maybe BDS) -- but for now I'm enjoying what I have.

i installed a rough country lift on my 78 CJ5 was easy 2 swap looks great rides a little stiff but all in all was a good choice in my opinion. the downside is everything that came after seems like every day i take it out on the road some new problem arises that i never had before. im getting there little by little but was the price 2 pay

sorry to bother you, saw you in ny. im from saratoga springs originally.new to the site and havin hard time posting. just bought a 65 Tuxedo Park park iv and wanna restore it any help would be appreciated

I've got a superlift in my CJ7 , I've had it for 7 years now. It was a little stiff when new but it broke in and isn't to bad now.
when I get new springs they will be OME or Alcans, they seem to have a better rep. for flexing.

NTW has a nice selection of suspension specials you get the springs, u bolts, drop pitman arm, and shocks. and their service is great and the price is only 439.95 a pretty good deal:cool:
