In a frame off rebuild for a long time...
Try pulling down a 80 year old 1 car garage thats falling over anyways...
didn't hardly get 1 pull out of it and it seized up.
Had to use chains to pull it down the rest of the way. :D
Glad I'm not cleaning up the mess!

I know they are supposed to be the 'value priced' winch but I can't believe it only made one pull... :(

Has it been worked before?

Oh yea, and its lead an easy life.
it was on my CJ when I bought it, and had never been used. I put it on my car hauler trailer and its pulled probably 50 cars up onto the trailer in the last couple years. Its stored in a covered box on the trailer.
Worked fine, other than a sticky solenoid (still has that) But it flat out won't turn now. I'm thinking the gears froze up for some reason. But I wont get a chance to look at it till I get back from deployment (I leave on Friday!)

I never had checked the oil in it ...HHmm might be the problem..:p
