well i didn't see this any where so i figured i would post this fun topic.

i thought this would be a fun mod to do to make access to the engine compartment.

what is everyone else doing to there Cj's ?

i would just like more $$$$ to do more mods lol. next on my list is switching to power steering, bigger tires, and may be a better rear axle or beef the 20 up and lockers.

No real mods this time around...

A new Transmission and a few brake changes but - that is it...

Now! The next CJ will be the :dung:!

I'm in the first stages of an engine rebuild w/OBA, new wiring, custom dash, new exhaust...After this is done I will start modding on it!

I thought about doing the hinged fenders, even looked it over while my fenders are off. But in the long run, I don't want them coming loose and rattling.
Could you imagine if one came loose going down the hiway, or on a technical trail at the wrong time? :o

yea i was thinking about that also but my cj will never see the highway unless its on a trailer..lol but i was thinking of a better way to hold the fenders tight rather than just 1 wing nut like the guy in the writeup did..

Sometimes all I want to do to it is jack the gas cap up and drive a NEW CJ under it!!
I've got a four barrel intake and carb I need to get installed. Then disc brakes on the front.:)

ARB Lockers front and rear... The Detroits are awesome, just don't like the steet manners anymore...

New corbeu seats, little higher to run '37s. Maybe build some flat fenders for it. But first on the list is build a shop to get the CJ into before going higher, stupid 7' garage doors.

who's brilliant idea was the 7'door thing?? nobody asked me.
the motor craft distributer and MSD ECM would be a step in the right direction.

It would take two hours to list everything I have done to my Jeep. The only original parts are the dashboard plate, the wiring harness (sort of) and the roll bar.

But mods I want? A full cage this winter and I am considering full width axles with a small wheelbase stretch.

I wouldn't know anything about that.

Yeah, Jeep's are awesome after you remove and replace every single part on them.

I am thinking of welding up a rear bumper/tire carrier,I never am satisfied with the ones I see for sale

Was going to put a Warn 8000 winch on, but didn't notice it didn't come with the mounting plate hardware. Duh. Thought about building it, but decided to go with the pro's on that, so waiting for it to come in. The new winch is sitting in the garage, and the old wench ain't complaining.
