So ive got a liquid check valve and a rollover check valve on the rear inner body of my 1980 CJ7 and i'm trying to figure out if there are replacements available or what i'm supposed to with them as i have not been able to find replacements or anything on them or about them ANYWHERE. is this something that is just outdated and people are changing these out to something newer? Any help or ANYTHING to help me out would be GREAT!! Thx everyone. :)

What makes you think they should be replaeced?
Mine are still in place. They are like seat-belts. Nice to have and never hope you really need them.
That said-I have had my CJ on it's side one time, about 22 years ago(my DUM). The valves worked, and kept the gas in the full 20 gal tank.

The plastic check valve does come apart for an inspection and operational check. The metal one can rust up so you could check its operational condition. there are a few similar units available online so check that, along with the big box 4wd parts outfits. I did replace mine with this one:DeLorean Motor Company - ROLL OVER VALVE.
I would suggest using both of them if you can, as they do provide the fuel tank with venting to replace the vacuum created as the fuel is used up. The charcoal canister has a replaceable filter on the bottom which is part of the vent system. a check for the vent system can be done by removing the fuel filler cap after a drive and there should be no sound of air rushing in.

Mine was broken , so I took it down to Napa and we matched it up to one out of a Nissan (dont remember years or model) New one is all metal and dont expect to have to change it in my lifetime.

I found my replacement on ebay. On the same line of question where has anyone found a charcoal canister replacement.

Thanks torx the jeep I'm doing now didn't come with one so I will have to get a new/different one. Thanks for link.

Plan A would be to get the oem version rebuilt.
Plan B would be to get one from a salvage outfit like these guys:J&W Jeep.
Plan C would be use the Standard motor products CP3045, which will fit, but takes a bit of rerouting of hoses and drilling to make work. This might help:My Tech How-To for the Carbon Vapor Canister [Archive] - International Full Size Jeep Association

This was a good write up on the canister unfortunately all the part # in this write up have been discontinued the closes i have found is a fuel vapor canister echlin CRB 220101 on napa site. But will have to wait till Monday to be able to call supplier to make sure all fittings are the same as old part number CRB 220052. Has anyone else run into this problem?
