I have a 225 odd fire and have decided I will rebuild it do to the massive amount of smoking it does. I am going to buy some of the parts each month until I have most of them that will be needed before I tear it down...My question is there some things that I could do when rebuilding the engine that are not to exspensive, but great upgrades to help with horsepower?

Thanks, I have read these I was wondering more on the lines of a different cam, and roller rockers. Things like this that might be worth spending a couple more dollars on and having a beter engine out of the deal????

Better how, for wheeling with low end torque or for the street with a high reving engine?

I would do a cam and lifters even if you go back with stock, three angle valves and have it balanced with the new pistons. Tank it, boar it and do all new bearings, seals and freeze plugs.

I am looking to have more low end torque that high reving engine, bc when I go down the highway in my jeep it is to just get to the next off road area....LOL

Thanks, I want it to be stock, but to get the most engine I can. Three angle valves? I am lost on that one I do understand the rest..

It's just a sudo hot rod grind that will let it breath a bit better with out really changing a lot. I don't thnk it costs more than a stock valve job.
