What's your CJ used for

just curious what everybody here uses there jeeps for, daily driver, show car, rock crawler whatever you use it for? Im still building both of mine so i just use them to get rid of my money right now lol

I consider mine more trail rig that has to do well on the road as well.
Even though I tow mine, the trail head is always 10 miles or more from where the truck and trailer are.
It also gets to go to work or into town with me on nice summer days.

It's my tinker toy but also used for rock crawling in summer and snow crawling in winter. And the occasional bop around town.

Forest trails and occasional commuter. When the day is done, I need it to get me home -- so I tread lightly and don't abuse it any more than needed.

I run lots of trails with my TJ buddy. Some pleasure runs up to moderate runs verging on hardcore (4.0 max). Favs are Crown King, Table Mesa, White Tanks. I fish, hunt deer and birds and shoot clays depending on the time of year.

I have probably slept alone in it a dozen times, tailgate down in a sleeping bag. Waiting on the Striper or Flathead bite and keeping an eye out for the mountain lions as there are always tracks around the remote areas I fish the back of the lake. I have fed skunks and raccoons while sitting there fishing.

I enjoy the peace of where as I go as much as the thrills it gives.

Ours is for camping exploration and mine hunting and just back from Death Valley here is a shot of the inyo mine that was up a 10 mi. route thru a narrow canyon that was soo fun!

not quite sure yet. it took me so long to get it going and now it's cold out there. i do take it out for a drive when the weather is nice. this old body is broken down so i won't push my limits.

Forced air propane heaters work wonders. I had the garage door cracked open for ventilation. Even with the healthy wind blowing in under the door on Saturday, I had to turn it down to low.

Yep, that pretty much describes both my cj and my yj.
My cj is torn apart in the shop for the winter and it's -40* right now so the yj aint gonna get driven much either.

first off its a great stress reliever i can get on forums and look up parts and work on it and i can completely forget about the world around me. well since its cold now... its occupying my mind and i mainly just like to accessorize it. its a great paper shredder for my cash too. When its warm i use it to ride around and the occasional off road bash for when i need to relieve my stress. and it keeps my 1968 chevelle company
