We got a later then plan start last Friday for a weekend camping/wheeling trip in the mountains of western Ma.
Because of the late start we ran into traffic and arrived at our camp 7:30 and setup camp before darkness set in.
Temps, windy in the high 40s, we built a fire and had a few drinks.
Although the temps drop to the high 30s I was plenty warm in my tent.
Each day found more sun and warmth.
The early risers Kayaked and fished before breakfast.
After breakfast we hit the trail for the day.
Everyone had a fantastic time with minimal damage on this light trail.
One kissed a rockface and crinkled his fender.
A broken main leaf
Later in the afternoon the piston in my M/C must have hit some rust in the bore causing the front calipers to bind. I had to use a set of vise grip pliers to pinch the front hoses and bled the calipers to make it back to camp with no front brakes.
We hiked on Sunday and a fisher cat crossed my path on the trail. I was wondering what all the screeching noise was that I heard Friday night and found my answer. Saturday night we had a late campfire and plenty of refreshments, didn't hear any fisher cats that night.

A few pics.
The climb below was steeper then it looks and very muddy at the bottom.
Only two made it up the first try a tj and a little old CJ
Couple had to pull rope.
One broke a main leaf

For every plus a big rig has there are minuses as well. I was able to pick the right line for my small CJ.
