Last Saturday I led a group of 5 on some NH trails. A 3B, 2A, 5, tj, and a jk.
It was a beautiful day and a good time was had by all. It was a mix of moderate-hard, moderate, and some easy trails. We started at 9 and finished at 6 covering 55 miles. Getting to the first trail we covered a mix of trails and arrived just after lunch.
Once at the first trail it turned into a winch fest. The jk had its running board bracket ripped off and steering damper twisted up. The two flatties made it thru without pulling rope. Unfortunately the 5, tj, and jk went home after the first trail so the two flatties continued on. It was 2:30 at that point.
With just the two flatties we covered some ground quickly and had time to stop at a lake for a bit. Ticks are plentiful in New England while there I pulled off 2 Dog ticks, 1 drew blood. Typically if you remove them within 24 hours they won’t pass any diseases, at least that’s what I’ve been told by a Dr.
