Which paint?

my 77 CJ7 Golden Eagle paint code is oak leaf brown, (7E) bvut its so ugly because theres no metallic in it or i can go with Mocha Brown Metallic (7B) which is pretty nice, i dont know if i want to stay to original or just move up another brown. maybe some opinions? what do you guys think?

I would paint it the color YOU want and not worry about what Jeep put on it originaly, unless you are trying to restore to 100% correct then of course you have no choice.

Do you have any pictures of both colors? Personally I would go with want you want and not think twice about what was on there originally. It isn't like you are going from white to black or something, so it is at least close. Plus, it isn't everything going to be worth a million bucks because it is all original. I would just go with what you like better.

well diddy, i couldnt find a trace of the paint code 7E. but.... i was on Ebay and found one that was the same as mine. im defiantly going with 7B Mocha Brown Metallic. the other is just not really good looking.

Paint it how u want it. I've come to find out that what I was told was true, Once you put any money/labor in a jeep, it is not worth getting rid of. So paint it the color you want cause you might be keeping it for quite some time. I bought mine already painted, but I love the color. It is Atomic Orange. Pretty sweet looking.

Yeah Elwood, mine is the same i just didnt know how good it looked up close. but now come to think about it i may paint it oak leaf brown......
