I am wondering what part of the spring goes toward the front and which goes back?

Pic 2-The large opening(2) should go to the frame mount.
Pic 1-Not a clue........Not sure that is the correct spring.
Who made these springs?

Not sure lol could be wrangler springs. And by frame mount you mean the front frame mount not the spring hanger correct?

Sweet thanks, do you have any idea what I should do with the rears?

I would measure to see if the center bolt is in the middle between the bushing mounts.
I really don't think that is the correct spring for your '81.

Okay I will do that, maybe it’ll allow me to gain a couple inches of wheel base haha
Thanks for the help!

One of those spring eyes should be the same size, as the larger one is on the other spring.

The spring is symmetrical, it doesn't matter which end goes toward the front. The only reason one end has the large hole is it's missing the leaf spring bushing.

No-it's not..........
Look at the spring clamps and you'll see this.
Until you measure from the eyes to the c/bolt, you realy don't know if that bolt is center or not.

I replaced the leaf springs on my five and wondered the same thing. I laid one on top of the other and then revered them and they were the same.
