Hi everyone
Wave2.webp

I know I haven't been around much lately. Yes some of you have probably been ecstatic about it and some of you may have actually missed me

.

But anyway, I've transfered from CT and have moved to Williamsburg VA. But it's not looking like I'm going to be spending a lot of time there. I'm currently in a Combat Skills course in Gulfport MS, followed almost immediately by more courses at Camp Lejune NC until the end of September (ish). The crappy part, other than being away from the wife and the kids, that just sucks, is that I really no more than got the CJ running really well and was ready to make it my DD all summer long, and now I'm not going to be around all summer

So, I don't know how much I'm going to be around for the next few months, so try and keep the shenanigans to a minimum while I'm gone

Sounds like the good ole Navy is keeping you busy and away from your love....the Cj i mean your wife! But soon enough youll be back with them and drive it all winter :p

keep your head down and don't volunteer for anything.:cool:

There goes the neighborhood! :=)

Maybe there is a hotter place this time of year, but I think you gotta die to get to it! We're about to find out how a tropical storm stirs up the oil slick and tarballs. Keep cool if you can!

Hey everybody
Wave2.webp
, how the heck have you all been? I've finally got a couple hours of down time, so I thought I'd drop in and say hello. Life's been crazy the last few months and I've got a couple more weeks to go. Sooner or later I may actually be able to get home, see the wife and kids and the CJ!!! Hope you all are doing well, I'll be around, Elwood.

Nope, not a Jarhead, I'm a squid. A squid that found out a couple weeks ago that on September 16th he's going to be a Chief Petty Officer!!!! That's the equivilant of a gunny in the Marines...

I've found my way into the Navy's newest projects, even though it's not new. Back in the beginning of the war in Iraq the Marines bought some boats and decided to start doing river patrols, the Navy caught wind of it and said hey wait a minute the water is our thing, get the heck off the boats jarhead.... So, the US Navy has re-commissioned RIVERINE SQUADRONS 1, 2 & 3. Just like back in the Vietnam days. Our boats are a little different, but most of the tactics and techniques are the same. The reason the schools are taught by Marines on a Marine base is 1, a holy :dung: load of room to do it and 2, they were teaching the Marines that were doing this before.

The boats are cool, they look like this;
