I was curious about the ps pump. I have read that it is the saginaw pump, sometimes described as the ham can pump. Will pumps from other GM vehicles fit it? I found a pump that I liked in chrome, from a company called March performance. I called them to see if it would fit and they described it as the saginaw AMC 304 . Accesories Power Steering Pumps, Alternators. They also describe a keyway style and a press fit style.
If it matters I am changing the pulley system over to a bulltear serpentine system.

The big difference with the two styles is the fitting are metric on the newer pumps.

Not sure what pulley the serpentine use. V belt used press fit which can also help line up the pulleys.
