There is a 8500# super winch on sale in my area. Are they a good winch? Pro or cons?

I would say it is a good winch for the Jeep, like if you get stuck somewhere, have to pull a buddy out, or move a good size tree that has fallen on the trail. If you do a lot of repeated use, it can get hot, smoke, and burn out a relay. Dual batterys can help here, but for most uses, a large single will be fine. Just check for heat and watch the voltmeter. Of course you will need a mounting kit plus all the accessories. Bigger better winches cost more money,like the worm gear Warn 8274, I have been wanting to try mine as a zip line.
