New DD: 2016 Rubicon Hard Rock, BDS 2" lift, Toyo tires
Ever heard it called this? I am trying to buy a new replacement windup bumper - hopefully polyurethane. This part may be also be known as an axle snubber. My 1980 Jeep TSM describes this windup bumper on page 2N-1 as a "stamped bracket with a rubber bumper attached to it (fig. 2N-6). The bracket is attached to the inner side of the right frame rail adjacent to and just above the front axle housing. During severe operation when extreme spring movement and front axle travel occurs, the bumper contacts a pad on the front axle housing to prevent excessive housing movement." There is only one. It is not one of the four frame mounted bump stops.
I have searched multiple forums, manufacturers, and parts houses trying to locate one and can't find it. Would appreciate any leads on a source. See picture below of mine before disassembly. The bumper is clearly visible in the first photo and only the bracket is visible in the second photo. Thanks in advance....
