Through The Years Of WranglersWhen the YJ Wrangler first hit dealer showrooms in 1986, it was the Jeep that many CJ owners loved to hate. Ourselves included. But once we got over ourselves, the square headlights, and the lack of “CJ” in the model name, we found a fairly capable Jeep underneath.

"best Jeep"!! It's only a Jeep brand, not an actual Jeep. Hence the name... wrangler, duh!

The wife picked this up for me , I rarely read JP. Anyhow they go on to say about the 4.0 Ax-15 Yj and then the Tj the best Jeeps. Very little on buying a Cj except for some ways to tell older Cj madels apart.

Anyway they go and buy their new project and its a 87 wrangler with the carbbed AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l and puegot BA-10. They really shouldve taken their own advice.

Its good for JP to ignore the Cj as much as they do. Let them talk all the nit wits into Yjs and Tjs and leave the Cjs for us.
