Building a 1972 cj5,
built 350,sm420,f/r d60's ,regeared dana 20 twin stick. More to come
Can i reverse an xj spring in the front like i am doing in the rear? I was trying to gain 6 inches in the front to. Thanks

I've never done it, but I don't see why you couldn't.
The spring width is different but you can always fab a fix for that.
Just thought of something. If it's got an off set center pin it could mess with the steering some.

If I am not mistaken, the XJ sprigs are different than the YJ springs. Their spring rate is higher, and I believe they are longer than the YJ's as well. If you are talking about the YJ springs, you will need to get a kit, or do some fab work, as the CJ's fronts are narrower than the rears. Hope that helps.

I had to outboard the front to exept the Dana 60. So I think It will work. I am fabing up some new hangers for the front. They are offset so I am going to flip them like I did the back. Making a new front bumper so I can extend it out. Thanks for all the help. Oh ya where do I mount a anti wrap bar on the rear? Do I want to put it as close to the pumpkin as I can? And then mount it to the cross memer? Thanks

Old dog thanks so much for that site. I am going to build it as soon as I get a little further ahead.

Why xj springs if I may ask
Is it for the lift or the offset?

The offset I can get 6 inches or more with them. And the length of them.

Sounds pretty cool, you should do a build thread. And we need some pic's too.:)

i should might drag on for awhile. I will take some pics.
