Testing our YJ tub onto the CJ frame... it looks like it fits fairly well, but I ran into a problem.

On the driver's side mount, by the foot pedal, adjacent to the fire wall, the bracket for the frame mount is not only horizontal, but has a portion which is vertical... off of this vertical portion is a 1/4 to 3/8ths inch piece that sits at 90 degrees and consequently won't allow the tub to sit flush against the vertical piece.

Does anyone else have this? should I Just cut this piece down?

anyone know the dimensions to have the frame connector in front of the rear wheel in the right position?

Cut the piece down or off. It's not stock. It's something that someone welded on there for some reason.

I agree, the piece does not appear structural from your pictures, so, use the smoke wrench and your problems will be solved.

So cut it off the 3/8th piece that runs parallel to the frame and perpendicular to the firewall, or cut the larger piece that runs parallel to the firewall and perpendicular to the frame rail and prevents the tub from sliding forward?

I see the mount should be flat... thank you.

Hi I recently found a YJ tub for my CJ7 and was wondering how your swap is working out. Could you post more pics as you go through the swap?

Hey! How is this swap coming along? Please share your experience. And preferably with pics. :D

Please be darned careful using a torch next to on fiberglass. Can you say BURN baby BURN.
