Will be adding pictures as I progress thru this must downsize them first.
This Picture was todays. Must finish assembling get it mobile then teardown
and paint red primer, silver base coat then Candy Apple Red to make it look 3D. Or *** they say deep. Will include when I first bought it, the first mod and now.

Please do not ask what I have invested, thinking about might kill me..LOL!

At Grand Mothers house 1990 is the first picture, with the new Advanced Adapters Fender Well Headers.
Bunged up square head fitting, so must r & r engine. Prepped it for removal yesterday, and pulled Transmission and Transfer Case and engine today. Broke off end with removal tool.
Second picture is square head pipe fitting in head.
Third is broken fitting.
Tomorrow will grind flat and center punch and drill out.
All so I can hook up the heater hose 90* shut off valve fitting. Should of pulled when I had the head off and the engine was out 2 years ago.

Look forward to your build progress

Posi,
I know I am a rookie at this computer forum, if I knew how to change it I would, but no one is voting anyways.
Yesterday I drilled out & tapped (3/8" - 18 NPT) the broken hose fitting, could not post, because of the forum having issues. Today I put the engine back in, and still can not find my clutch return spring.

Seeing no explanation in your first post on the purpose of your poll I assumed you were inquiring on the original colors. I only found one correct color scheme in your poll so I posted the remaining original colors.

Posi,
Was trying to find out how many people know about CJ2a `s. You are the only one who posted the right colors, this forum is more 5 & 7.
Anyway the original colors are Luzon Red w/ Beige Wheels LR Stripes, Slate Gray Seats & Tailgate Chain Covers, black top.

Today I put the Transmission & Transfer Case back in. Pictures to come later. Still can not find my clutch return spring, will have to put in the hard way.

Hey man dont stop this thread. It is nice to see Jeep's history :chug:

Gotcha,
Eugene looks solid, should look sharp with new paint.
Is that your Gladiator, or is it a J-10/20 with 63-69 rhino grill? Looks good!

Posi,
My youngest brothers 1963 Jeep Kaiser Gladiator Custom Cab, the first year they were still selling Willy`s 1963 flatties thru `65 until they were all gone, with a 1972 Chevy 350 truck engine (originally long bed & had AMC 327, T-90 D18 Dana 44 D53) w/M465-203, that I rebuilt. I sold his D53 after Mac sold the Powr-Loc to someone in PA, but I built him a D60 8 lug w a Powr-Loc out of a J-20, and took a 1978 J-10 Dana 44 and stuck the outers from a Ford 4x4 van 8 lug (axle stubs, caliper mounts, discs, rotors, spindles, hubs & locking hubs) on a 1978 J-10 Golden Eagle frame. He still hasn`t swapped frames yet, and bought spring hangers for the `63 frame, so he is undecided to either weld or swap.
It also has the A/C under dash unit out of my 1980 Wagon, a Saginaw tilt wheel out of a J-10, the doors off a Cherokee S, 1980 J-10 wiring and I told him every 100 lbs takes 7 hp to move and he keeps adding weight, his front bumper is at a weld shop getting welded HD.
It has been raining so I haven`t done much to the 2A, still can not find my clutch fork return spring, when I do will have to install thru the inspection hole in the bell housing. It must be in the damn gravel.
Exhaust, clutch linkage, DL`s, wires, windshield, radiator, shifter and?

New exhaust is on, it will probably rust, should have bought SS. Had 2 stickers on the middle tube, should have told them no stickers, wrap with plastic and ship. Used Never-Seize on all threads, and SS on the header and body mount bolts, washers & nuts. End tube is not indexed, hope it does not fall down, like my AA fender well headers & turbo mufflers did with the 90* bend and grooved my 34" Denman`s on the drivers side.
On to the next part(s).

Installed front & rear drivelines, that I made. Notice the rear does not have the E-Brake, and is twice the size as stock and no flange, but a yoke. Hated that E-Brake from day one, never worked for Sh__. Have newer Wagon 11" self adjusting w/1974 CJ5 cables and equalizer, custom cable mounts, stock cane handle & cable.
Then went to see if I could get one of my old jobs back, need more money.

Spent all day repairing my 6 American Bosch Wipers.
2 work good.
1 has broke shaft at the end.
1 does not work. Will be parts.
1 has a bad switch.
1 has a broken drive gear.

That is why I have 6.

Keeping the 2 good 12 volt wipers.
Selling the 2 good 6 volt pair of wipers on e-bay (JeepOregon).
Selling the other 6 volt almost new wiper on e-bay.
Keeping the last one for parts, 12 Volt needs worm gear and shaft. Will drill and tap shaft with new bolt end. Find worm gear or JB weld and file.

From the beginning.
Pictures at the shop.

Had to pull engine back out, clutch fork fell and got wedged in. Anyway back in and now will be working on wires, between rainy days. Ignition switch, signal stat 900 turn signal switch and other wires under the dash & engine. Must find my back up lights harness to & from the Transmission tower reverse light switch.
Later down the road will need to cover TC shifter hole from having T-18 , and holes in firewall from master cylinder & hydraulic brake.

Your tub is in good shape even the hat channels look good.

Not really under the seats was replaced (you can see the seam), and PO removed the Tool Box and drilled 2 holes for water exit (had to make supports for passenger seat). When they did it does not match-up with the floor supports, and they prepped it bad. Under the tank had to use Aluminum bondo, to fill in 20 or more pin holes, from rust, then laid in inner tube rubber. Did have second tank, either going to buy another tank or another tub for parts, since my original tub & frame was rear ended and destroyed. The back floor cargo section is in need of body hammer, but at least I have a `48 CJ3a rear seat (all seats need recovered $95 + $95 + $130)
Have not did nothing because it has been raining.
Then bed liner & paint, which is the last thing to do.

From an east coast perspective your tub looks good!

Yes, the only thing Oregon has is we do not salt the roads during snow, to much sand to buy salt. It has been raining here in the valley for days, which means snow in the mountains.

Here are more pictures. Engine back in w/Transmission - Transfer Case as 1 and the "CLUTCH FORK", drive lines, shifters & covers. Heater hoses, radiator/fan/rod, lower radiator hose all in except do not like the 2 piece upper when I should have 1 piece, so another part to sell and another part to buy. Starter in, will do battery tray & cables later. PVC back on, as is the new throttle rod & NOS return spring.
