1960 cj 5 seat

Does anyone have a good picture of the stock drivers side seat frame for a 1960 CJ5 ?

G'day mate I'm not sure if the seat that was in my 1960 CJ6 is what you are after but I'm more than happy to send a photo when I find it in the shed. I'll have a look over the weekend.

Not sure if this is correct for your CJ or if it's even a Jeep seat after further study? Shot a couple pics out of the service manual and the rear mount points apear to be on the floor and not consistant with my seat.

I have no idea how that would mount in the rear of the CJ ? It looks like it's in good condition just not sure if it is the correct rear seat?

Ya I'm not so sure anymore, My 3b came with early CJ5 front seats that did not fit right and had a CJ5 fuel tank in it along with this rear seat unmounted in the rear so I had assumed it to be another 5 part but now seems to be something else?

Thanks anyway Sasquach, when I get to that point I will try to find the factory rear seat. No big hurry yet. Is your CJ3 all done? If it is all done can you post some new pictures? Thanks again Joe

The 3B is 99% compete with some minor wiring to complete, the oil pressure light socket in the cluster is broken and need to track down one.
Getting the correct seats for it and reconditioning was an ordeal as you may be finding out now with your 5.

Your CJ looks GREAT very nice job. It's to bad we live so far way from each other i would like to meet you and talk Jeeps. Keep the pictures coming.

I have the original front driver brackets out of a CJ5 . I made some new ones that lowered the seat 1.5 " so I can see out the front window at a traffic light.

If you could send a picture that would be great, i have the bottom section of the drivers seat but someone cut the back section off of it.

I will take pics of the risers tonight, they are the flat iron ones out of the '81 CJ5 . Do you want pics of anything else on the seat?

81 CJ brackets will not work in your early CJ...
