- 1965 CJ-5 Buick V6 Ford T-18 4-Speed Spicer 20/18,Warn Overdrive Dana 30 & 44 w/Powr-Lok posi / both,4.27 gears 33" tires.
Ok I'm new here so bear with me. Two questions:
Question#1 / On a 1965 & up CJ does anyone have good pictures of the stock heater box & pipeing under the hood which would have been mounted on the drivers side firewall & fender? Also what does it look like inside the drivers compartment?
I have an aftermarket Rupp heater in mine mounted on the pass side firewall inside that really doesn't do much. Looking for options!
When I bought this Jeep back in 1967 it had the original 4 Cyl. in it & sometime in the early 70's I put a Dauntless Buick 225 V6 V-6 in it with the Saginaw steering. I used the original radiator & mounting location.
Question #2 / was the same radiator and radiator support used for either motor combination be it a 4 cyl or V-6?
I would assume that from 65-71 the configerations may be the same. Does anyone have an original w/ a V6 that would share a picture of the grill & cowl and radiator configeration & size? My current radiator is 17"w x 21" tall, I have perhaps 3/4" clearance between my fan and the existing radiator. I have a little cooling problem sometimes maybe because of the lack of a fan shroud or maybe the wrong radiator? I'm not against cutting the cowl up and making more room ( although the crossmember may limit that) for an Electric fan or shroud I just thought I would ask what others have done first before I bring out the sawzall.
Any Help would be great,
