My wife and I just purchase a CJ5 , well let's say needs a few things fixed before I bring it home. I prefer to drive to my house, but it seems that a wrecker is in the near future. I hope to start posting pictures of the progress if I can figurer out how to use this camera that my wife got for me last week, was trying to figure out how to get the film canister into? She handed me this little flat thing? Oh well it's got to work some how, time to get the grand kids involved!!
Things I do know about, points and condensors, spark plugs and oil. Many plans for that Hurrican engiene.
Forgot to mention the T-90 is froze up? When the unit was parked two years The top plate was left off and the casing filled with water! Empted the water and filled with WD-40 to the top. I think the casing froze and busted, fluid leaked out the right side about half way down. Not worried about that, duct tape will seal long enough to hold the 90w till I get home only thirty miles. The problem lies that I can't get the fork rings to move on the input shaft to line up the shifting forks. Any suggestion? I've already talked in terms that a sailor understands!
My granddaught has showed up and is talking in a tounge I don't understand about this camera, I have a lot to learn!

- Has anybody ported and polished the intake? Have a few ideas on how this can be accomplished, just want to hear other ideas if some one has accomplished this?
- Called Clifford performance about the header he manifactures for this engine. Was told it would give a tweenty percint increase in power? Has ay body got dino charts t verify? During our conversation of fifteen and/or thirty minutes, he mentioned shaving the heads .060. Has anybody done this? I have a few ideas about this, in my younger years, I was part of a pulling team for tractors. My cousin ran a tractor with fourteen to one and supported a blower. He was the first to ring the block and head so the gasket was smashed into this groove. Kept it a secert for many years. five motors 35,000 hp. Hang on to that fellows. Same idea on the hurrican, how far can a person go on the bloch? And is the sixty thounsand a reasonable number on the head?
- Has anybody used the weber carbirator conversion from Clifford Performance? How did it work and what is the power gain?
- What and how has work wth the lower end? Any performance rods available? What can be done t the stock rods to build reliabety.
- What and has anybody done with the crank?
