Had my F-Head running well. All of a sudden she started running rough and died. She won't run unless75-100% choked. 50% choke...its sputters to almost dead then revs itself back up and in 5 seconds starts to die again. Replaced plugs, completely fowled with black. Also throwing a lot fo blue smoke. Vacuum seems to be ok showing 43 after PVC valve on high rpm as it was choked. The points gap seems to bit a bit closed, but distributor in good shape. Plug wires and contacts ok. Im going to check 1) the timing. 2) the Coil may be bad I read 3) Fuel pump is delivering fuel. 4) carburetor? any other ideas?

From my Limited experience when an engine will only run with the choke on it is running too lean meaning it is sucking in air from somewhere it's not supposed to. Could be drawing in air from a bad manifold gasket or the gasket that mates the carb to the intake manifold.
You could also check all hoses running from the carb to make sure there are no leaks.

I just watched a few You tube videos and a blocked Jet or Port could do it too. Ive got fuel. Im going to check the Fuel Pump Pressure and see if its in spec as well.
