Forum,

I'm new to the CJ world and I need help with a few questions in regards to restoring my 1977 CJ7 , any help would be appreciated!

1) Looking for a OEM radio for the jeep as it was one of the few items missing. Any ideas where to find one? I've scoured EBay already

2) Looks like this was a "Levi (Edition) 's" edition, the seats inside are not original, any one know where to find some original seats?

3) Is there any hardware/brackets that hold the front of the hard top to the windshield frame? Mine has holes in both, but no hardware connecting the two. I've looked online and can't seem to find anything.

Thanks for all the help! Attached is a photo of my jeep for reference.

I would look on CL they pop up from time to time, goes for the seats as well.
I sold my last original CJ radio about 4 months ago on CL.

Keep your eyes open for a CB/radio they came as an option on CJ's, wagons and cherokees.

I sold this one not too long ago, hard to find one complete, but their out there.

Posi, thanks for the response. Was there factory hardware that connected the top to the windshield?

Yes, 2-1" and 2-1/2" tapping screws, and a seal.

You may have to buy a piece of aluminum at a big box store as well then drill some holes in it.

For abishop: the stock hardtop has a thin piece of steel riveted on the inner side of the hardtop channel that has holes drilled into it....this is for attachment to the windshield frame's corresponding holes. Posi is suggesting that this part may be missing from your hardtop.

If it is, I may have one for you. My hardtop is in pieces and heading to the junkyard soon.....

this is the closest thing I could find on the interwebs. I'll have to work on getting you some actual pictures.

Hey abishop, what part of Colorado? Any relation to Bishop's Castle?

What do you guys do for floor mats? My accelerator pedal is so close to the carpet, the mats I just bought from ACC won't fit?

No relation to Bishop's castle, but I will say it's pretty cool. I live in Fort Collins.

I lived just down the road from it. Anybody going to Colorado needs to take the time to see this thing. Bishop Castle :: Official Site

Sorry for the High Jack :booze:

abishop,
I was prepared to strip mine off my hardtop and just send it to you, but It has gone missing
A recent windstorm blew it over in the yard and yesterday I went out to flip it back over and low an behold, it's no longer part of my hardtop. :(

Remove the carpets and thrown them away. All they do is trap moisture and rust out the tub. A lot of people will Rhino-line the floor (or the entire tub) and then use standard rubberized removable floor mats.

Jim, I'm trying to keep my CJ as original as possible. I'm going to get a mat I can cut around the pedal area.

Also, thanks for looking into the hard top bracket. I'll keep searching!
