1978 Jeep CJ7 V8 Motor wont stop crankin and doesnt start

Sorry everyone...
Finally figured out to create new post for my Son .
I now have lights etc to vehicle, however, when the hey is turned the engine continues to crank and never stops until you diconnect the positive side of the battery cable.
Please H E L P !!!!!

Depending on what set up you are running, there is a short either in the starter/solenoid or could be in the ignition as well, something is arching or grounding out to cause the connection to open. were you doing other work before this happened somewhere on the jeep....? i would disconnect the wire from the solenoid and see if its on the whole time the ign is on. just get atest light and move backwards away from the starter finding where the issue is...

red wire to Solinoid broken inside wire !!!
WOOoooHOOOoooooo !!!!

Could also be a bad alternator.
disconect the alt and see if it stops
