- 1978 CJ-7, 401 AMC, Edelbrock cam & intake, Holley 670 Truck Avenger, FlowKooler h2o pump, DUI ignition, NV4500, Dana 300 w/4:1 conversion, D-44 front w/locker, AMC 30 rear w/Warn 1 piece axles & locker
I ordered it from the factory in October 1977 and took delivery a month later. It was a Levi (Edition) edition Renegade with a soft top, AMC 304 V8, and 3-speed manual Transmission . It was my daily driver for 15 years. When it reached about 150k miles on the odo I retired it to the backyard where it slept under a cover for about 10 years.
Around 2003 I started to by some parts and look for a local Jeep wrench to help me restomod it. The attached photos are back when it was a couple of years old. I will post photos of the restomod adventure as soon as I learn how to insert photos here (I am a new member).
