1979 CJ5 windshield frame

I recently bought an aluminum top for my CJ that I was told was off a 78.
It was off an 75 or earlier. The only thing that doesn't fit is the windshield frame. It's off 2 inches on each side. I have found a 75 winshield frame, but I want to ask the following:
Can I install a 75 windshield frame on a 79?
I know I'll need the hinges, wiper motor, but is there anything else?

You will need the windshield hinges, and the inside clamps as well.
Motor is on the outside.
Should be good to go.

I think the Defroster vent size between the two years is marginally different and the gasket from one to the other also needs to be matched / trimmed a little..........can be done , just need to mess with it.
