This may sound like a dumb question, but what did AMC do to manage the length difference between the T-18 and T-150 trannys in their design? I know there is a little more than 2" in length difference between the two, so did they alter the mount on the skid plate? Did they use a different skid plate?
I can modify my set up in a couple of ways to make room for the T-18 's extra length, but I am very curious on how it was done from the factory.
Any useful feedback will be appreciated.

When I swapped out my T-15 I was able to use existing bolt holes in the frame and cross member. Worse case is drill new mounting holes in the frame or cross member. If you weld weld up the old holes. Get your drive line shortened.
