New Wheels/tires installed last weekend, went to stock 235's. Found a deal at Mr Tire for $102 each installed.

Also, full brake overhaul! WooHoo. Did everything except calipers in the front and everything in the rear. also installed new timken bearings up front.

Parking brake also adjusted and actually works now.

Old dented fenders removed
Roll cage removed
New shocks (rancho rs5000)

Going to spray paint the wheel wells and inside of the "new" fenders and add some bondo to a few trouble spots tonight ( i hope).
After pulling the roll bar and seats out found more rust than expected. Once fenders are back on were going to the welder to get some new floor pans!

El jeepo is gutted!

Body is sanded, windshield removed, new floor pans welded in, blah blah.
Adding new steering stabilizer and starting to paint this weekend.

Here she is as of 2 weeks ago.... Pulled the dash this weekend and welded in the new floor pans. Hoping to do the body work and paint next over memorial day weekend.

Heres my novice welding work :)... Both front floor pans and the area below the seats. The welds look like :dung: but are holding well.

Jumped ahead and installed the correct front hangers for a yj spring conversion yesterday. The PO that installed the lift didn't replace the 2in front hangers with 2.5in, he just used washers as spacers. I also found that the bushing spacer was non existent in the hanger. I think this will fix most of my stability issues. The new hangers were a simple install and almost 100% bolt on, had to do a little grinding for proper fit. Also installed new shackle hardware but kept the aftermarket shackles that were on there. I think they could be slightly warped but well see how it drives.
Installed a Moog steering stabilizer as well.

Starting on body work now and will hopefully paint tomorrow. Will also be doing a $20 blower motor upgrade while the dash is out.

I don't know how you got that paint laid down that well in the dark, but it looks good in the pics!:notworthy::chug:

Thanks... Had some trouble with the primer not setting properly. It was still tacky after almost a day and a half.
I sprayed color anyways. Hopefully it will be OK when I get back to take a look next weekend. I still need to wet sand a few areas and redo a couple spots. Should start putting her back together next weekend.
