Well fellas, I am now going down the path I'm sure many of you have. My Jeep has pretty much been on the back burner since last fall. Hadn't had the time or change to do what I thought was right. So it had been just the ocasional starting and driving her around the block or to the hardware store here and there. Until last weekend. I'm out in my garage working on a few things and I take a break and when I do that I usually sip a brew and look over my Jeep and think about everything I want to do and I get the hair brained idea to bust out my buffer and just see if I can get one patch of paint to shine...and I manage to. So I know I think, wow, maybe a buff job and tune up and I'm in business. So I commence to removing all the hood items, which turns into tire carrier, then...interior. Now I got the bug bad. Every extra chance I'm out their digging in, going to make it right. And so it begins....

That's one of my favorite color/sticker combos. Clean that baby up and keep her looking stock. I am sure it will be a beauty when you are done.

Thanks Kane, that is pretty much my plan. i don't think it has been cleaned in ten years. It needs to be de-mucked and recieve a few patches and she will be a driver. Killing me here at work just thinking about it.

I think buffing on that paint is a waste of time. Looks like you have some rust to fix and then a complete repaint. And yes it is time to start a rebuild thread. Good luck and have fun with it

Mtnwhlr, I am going to do what I can with what I have. Rust and paint will be fixed but to what extent I don't know yet. Time and money, you know how that goes.:chug:

Moderator please move this to the build forum, I apologize.

You are all good Mtnwhlr, I wish I could put it on a rotiserie and do what needs done. But I have work within what I have, so here we go. I will do what I can to the best of my ability.

I know how it is my money tree died. :D I wish you luck on fixing it up. Right now I have no funds or a place to work on mine.

Positive note for the weekend I got my floor pans ordered from from classic to current fab, great deal. Side note, I hate roll bar bolts.....7 more to go.
