1985 cj7 need help with grounding wire???

Hi! Thanx to anyone in advance for helping. I found the fuse that controls the fuel and oil gauges but I can't find the wire that keeps grounding. How should I go about fixing this. Should I take off the dash and find it and if I do how long will it take? I only have 3hrs to do this in my autoshop class because its my only transportation. HELP? Please and thank you.

Welcome to the site
3 hours is pushing it to remove and replace the dash...but it's not impossible with help. It's probably easier (well...less work) to try and locate it from underneath with a flashlight and a bunch of flexibility.
Those gauges are notorious for causing trouble.

thanx. I'll try going about it that way its just hard to keep track of the wires and locate whats what. But that does seem a lot easier thank you.
