Looking to get a soft top and roll bar cover for my 1986 CJ. I currently have a hard top so I’m not sure about the soft top color. I would like to get as close to the original factory color as possible. My interior color is “honey.” Bestop has them in tan and spice with spice seems to be a darker color. I tried looking on-line but the colors were all over the place. Bestop had me on hold for 15 minutes and never picked up. Anybody have any experience?

I went with the Bestop SuperTop when I replaced mine in 2000. That was 14 years ago and it's still got a bunch of years left in it. Nutmeg color was still available back then.

If the top wears out before I do, I'll order a replacement from Bestop. This one has been sitting out in the weather ever since I installed it and except for a couple of tiny cracks on some of the sharp edges, it's good as new.

Spice is what I'll have to replace it with. Can't seem to find Nutmeg anymore.

Go with the spice. It's closer to Honey than Denim Tan.

Here are pics of spice vs honey vs denim tan.

Levi Grab bar

Thanks wm69. That helps a lot! It is appreciated.

You're welcome. If you have anything that needs to be matched the SEM vinyl dye in Camel is a perfect match for Honey. I did my Laredo grab bar and my door panels with it. It does NOT work on the door pulls. They are rubber or similar and while they looked great, the SEM flaked off after awhile.

I used the SEM to paint my hard top too. Needs to be freshed up now, but I painted it in 2002.
