I’ve never had any great speakers, but I have 4 Technics that together sound pretty good. Back in the early 70s my older brother was on a destroyer off Vietnam for a while doing some shelling and actually getting some back from the shore. They got some work done on the ship in the Philippines and went to Hong Kong and he picked up some nice Sansui stuff for next to nothing. He gave me the receiver and speakers for the garage 30 years back and they sound pretty good still. He also brought back 3 nice Minoltas.
