just an insert or a place for a barb for something that uses vacuum, does it pull vacuum when you have it running on the motor? mine does have a barb right there for vacuum

You need to have a barb in there, that's the port for your vacuum advance from the dizzy.

the stock one would not have near as many barbs as the one displayed but if the hole is threaded this would be the way to go. That is a pretty common compressed air fitting.
