Family, my 9 year old son, my 86cj7, and firearms. Had all three to day we shot our mini-14, taurus .40cal, 10/22 ruger, single six ruger pistol. What a great day four wheeling in the mud out in the feild to get to a good shoting spot.:D And then also coming home and haven a few beers! Living the dream, doesn't get any better then this!!!!:D:cool::chug:

:chug:sounds like a great way to spend the day.:chug:

I love America. I love our freedoms. I love being able to share days like you had with the family. Wife shot my 45 acp at the range today for the first time, we put down a deposit on a ruger vaquero 45 colt for her on the way home. Yes, she now knows why size matters. She still loves her 38 special, but the 45 got her hooked.

Ps. She said next Summer I can get that new 1911 I want.

baja, so which one are you going to get? I have three :)

I have my eye on a 1943 colt 1911A1 army air corp issue. Would be the same as my Father was issued during WWII. Presently I have S&W. Now my brother swears by the 9mm, but I love my 45s, he claims stuff like quick target reacquisition, but like I always say, hit him first time with a 45, and they are not getting back up. My Sig 220 is also a nice 45 to shoot.

Add beer and fishing to that for me. :)

When I was younger, a friend of mine got shot with a .25 auto on accident. He nearly died and 6 weeks in the hospital and lots of surgery later, he survived.

A couple years later an acquantaince got robbed for drugs a couple houses over from me. A clip was unloaded on him through the windshield and he was shot 7 times with a nine. The guy that shot him took off and I ran over, he was able to get up out of the car and wait for an ambulance to arrive. Out of the hospital in days.

If you number is up, it is. But in addition to size, good aim does count :shooter::D

I worked in Mexico with some educated white collar guys many years ago as a liason to a U.S. company. I spent weeks at a time down there and got to know them. They were cool, smart guys. So and I asked them why they didn't use their degrees to make some real money in the U.S.
There answer was, they didn't want to live in a "carcel de oro" (jail of gold). Of course, I argued some, but they had a decent point. We have tons of stupid laws in addition to the good ones.

Thats right, thats what I tell my boys. I also make sure they know how to handle the gun first before any shells are added to the mix. Which includes always pointing it down or in safe direction away from any one. And when we start and when we're down check to make sure its unloaded.:chug:
