I am in the process of installing power brakes on my cj using the Yj booster/mc method. The problem I am having is finding a vaccum source for my booster. The 3/8" port at the bottom of the carb is used for the pcv valve. The valve covers have no place for anything they are just rounded over. Any ideas?

I tapped mine into the hole behind the carb on the manifold.

The factory uses a port on the front side of the manifold that sticks out from one of the runners. The factory fitting has two holes. One supplies manifold vacuum to the CTO up front while the larger 3/8" fitting supplies the brake booster.

I bet that if your Jeep didn't have power brakes, the fitting will just have the smaller port on it and not the 3/8". You could maybe drill and tap it for a brass fitting. Alternatively, you could get a replacement 90 degree fitting to put in the manifold and attach a T fitting to it to bolt in a smaller and larger port.
