304 stalls in gear

Last fall my AMC 304 with a GM Turbo 400 tranny running fine. Parked it all winter. Fired it up just recently and running terrible. It has a edelbrock 600 carb. Took the carb apart,cleaned and now she idles sweet. Put in gear and she dies. Check the tranny fluid and she is a little low. Top it off. She still dies. After she is really warm up, she will go into gear with no throttle. Once you give some gas she dies. No vacuum leaks. Any ideas? Spark plugs? Vacuum modulator at the tranny? Tranny filter? Like I said running sweet last fall. Any help would be appreciated.
